Meet Karen McDermott

Karen McDermott possesses a track record shared by very few real estate professionals globally, negotiating purchase contracts for some of the most prestigious properties throughout Silicon Valley and helping represent one of the largest sales in California history, including a $52 million dollar estate.

Karen’s distinguished clients greatly benefit from her strong negotiation skills, extensive lending experience, and creative deal structuring.  Her creative thinking is described by many as having superior talent in her field of residential real estate. These strengths alongside her high-level of knowledge regarding the luxury real estate market gives her clients the edge to succeed in every transaction.

In addition to Karen's dedication to continuing her achievements as a consistent top producer in Silicon Valley, she is also a strong advocate for stray dog rescue, regularly working with leading rescue organizations to find dogs-in-need loving homes.

In 2018, she has decided to make this passion an integral part of McDermott & Rabello with the launch of project McDermutt’s Rescue will sponsor 2 dogs into loving homes for every home sold by the group.

In her spare time she enjoys her residence in Pebble Beach where she also represents select clients.

Meet Chad Rabello

Real estate is in Chad’s blood. Born into a family where most of his aunts (one of them being Karen McDermott), uncles, and grandparents were licensed real estate agents in Silicon Valley, he knew from a young age he knew he would enter the industry. Chad went on to earn a bachelors degree from Cal Poly with a concentration in Real Estate Finance. While there, he also earned a Minor in Real Property Development.

Chad has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars in Silicon Valley real estate, bringing an extensive and unique business acumen to the industry that he developed while taking start-ups public through his various roles in Business Development and Operations.

Chad was the driving force to establishing the McDermott & Rabello brand, which played a pivotal role in establishing the presence of their current brokerage, Compass, in the Silicon Valley market. Compass has now become the #1 market share leader in all of the Bay Area.

Chad manages day-to-day operations for the Group.
